San Antonio vegan chain Project Pollo is closing its flagship location on Alamo St.

The chain, which launched from the food truck at 723 N. Alamo St. in September of 2020, said it is making some changes this year in order to"focus on perfecting the brand." The chain called the closure"bittersweet" but added that it was a proud moment to"look back and thank those who were involved from day one." Project Pollo still has five locations around San Antonio, as well as one in San Marcos and several in Austin. The chain, based in San Antonio, is expected to open a location in Las Vegas this spring.
