Peoria Police say Glendale Police officers were in the area of 47th Avenue and Butler for when they encountered a 46-year-old Tucson man sitting nearby, and believed he was involved in a domestic incident that happened in the area of 47th Avenue and Glendale.

Peoria Police officials have released new details surrounding a police incident in Glendale Wednesday night that left two people dead.The shooting happened in the area of 47th Avenue and Butler, per our previous report on the matter. The incident began as a domestic call, and when officers arrived, officers encountered a woman who said she had been threatened by a man with a gun. The man fled the area in a vehicle before the officers arrived.

As for the suspect who was allegedly involved in the domestic incident, Peoria Police officials say the 23-year-old from Glendale was taken to the hospital, where he later died.Per Peoria Police's statement, Glendale Police officers who arrived in the area of 47th Avenue and Diana first approached a truck that had a dark window tint.
