A man has been rescued by emergency services two days after he went missing while bushwalking in Queensland.

Rory Lane was reported missing in Lamington National Park in southeast Queensland on Saturday afternoon with police embarking on a search and rescue operation to find him.

The 26-year-old was found in a critical condition before emergency crews arrived at about 11.50am and airlifted him to Gold Coast University Hospital. Picture: Supplied According to accounts taken by police, he had been “walking with a friend along the West Canungra Creek Circuit around 4.45pm when the pair became separated.”“It appears to be a fall injury, so we’re expecting lacerations and potentially broken bones at this stage,” he said.“The timeframe for survival information that we received this morning is that in the current conditions and weather, he would have been OK till the end of Wednesday afternoon.
