Man found fatally shot in north Houston road, police say
Metro Video Services
Police found a dead man with a gunshot wound lying in the middle of a road early Sunday, according to officials from the Houston Police Department. Two people saw the man lying in the median and called 9-1-1, but the callers had not seen or heard anything that would have explained the situation, Sgt. Mark Wilson told Metro Video Services.
Police shortly after 1 a.m. arrived at the intersection of Airline Drive and Gillespie Court in north Houston. When officers arrived, the man in the road was already dead and it was apparent he'd suffered at least one gunshot wound to the torso, Wilson said. Information was limited as of early Sunday and authorities continued to look for witnesses or anyone with more information.
