Courtesy/OnScene.tvFew details were immediately available late Monday. METRO Police called Houston Police Department homicide detectives about the stabbing just before 9 p.m., but it's not clear when the actual stabbing occurred, according to homicide investigators.
The stabbing happened in the 1100 block of Rusk, about five blocks northwest of Discovery Green. One person is in custody, police said. Downtown units are at a stabbing scene 1150 Rusk St. A victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.The stabbing victim wasn't immediately identified. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
KTRK reported that the stabbing happened on a Purple Line train. Police told the TV station that the victim and another man got into a fight while riding the train and that the victim ended up being stabbed multiple times. The other man stayed at at the scene and was taken into custody, according to police. No charges were immediately announced.. Christopher Washington, 52, of Houston, was arrested and charged with murder in connection to Jarrell's death.
