A man is dead after he was allegedly hit by a vehicle near Interstate 17 and Northen Avenue early Saturday morning. The vehicle fled the scene after the crash.
A man is dead after he was allegedly hit by a car early this morning in north Phoenix.Phoenix police say they were called to the area on Northern Avenue just east of Interstate 17 around 2 a.m. for a reported crash involving a pedestrian.When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from serious injuries.The man was taken to the hospital where he later died of his injuries.The victim has since been identified as 38-year-old Christopher Rhinehart.
On Monday, ABC15 spoke with Vanessa Rhinehart, Christopher's sister, who says he was on a Facetime call with their brother when the crash happened. 'He was actually on FaceTime with my brother that lives in North Carolina - and my brother that lives in North Carolina had told me he saw the phone tumbling and then he saw the sky,' said Vanessa. 'He kept screaming for my brother Christopher. He’s like Chris Chris Chris! And Christopher wouldn’t answer.
