A man carrying weapons and claiming to be a military official was arrested Thursday after entering Roosevelt High School and saying he was there to "protect the children," the Seattle Police Department reports.
Officers were called to the scene around 1:30 p.m. after reports of an unknown male on the first floor of the building talking about reconnaissance and refusing to leave.School security reported that Choi claimed to be affiliated with the U.S. Court of Appeals and was carrying handcuffs in his back pocket.
A police incident report states that Choi was wearing a plate carrier with a holstered taser and had pepper spray in his pocket. He also displayed a badge labeled "Air Combat Command."RELATED |Without prompting, he stated he was there to "protect the children," alleging the principal had criminal charges from Evergreen.
