A Gauteng man who allegedly killed his wife by hacking her to death with an axe and then attacked their 6-year-old grandson for recording the incident has abandoned his bail application.
John Nkgudi, 52, allegedly assaulted his wife, Tinny, 51, on 28 January by hitting her with a stick and a shovel and hacking her with an axe.
"During the argument, it is alleged that the accused went outside and came back with a stick, shovel and an axe and started assaulting his wife... in the presence of the grandson."Wife of alleged Mpumalanga rhino-poaching kingpin shot dead days after his murder Nkgudi was arrested two days after the incident and showed the police where he hid his bloodstained clothes, added Mahanjana.
