A Williamson resident filed a complaint Aug. 1, 2025 after falling victim to a scam involving people posing as bank fraud representatives, who deceived them into withdrawing $20,000 in cash under the false belief that their accounts were compromised, state police said. The victim was told to give the money to a person who arrived at their home. Investigators determined Aidan Chun Loong Chan, 19, of Hicksville was the man who went to the victim's home and took the cash before giving it to another person downstate, according to state police.One person was critically injured in a crash involving several vehicles Monday on Batavia's Main Street.Savannah Guthrie returned to Instagram with her first post in nearly three weeks amid the ongoing search for her 84-year-old missing mother, Nancy.Rochester, N.Y. — Long security lines stretch for hours at airports across the country as the partial government shutdown drags on.
