A 49-year-old man was arrested in Seattle for attempting to burglarize a Bank of America branch. Police responded to an alarm and found the suspect inside, having smashed the glass door. He was taken into custody and booked into King County Jail on suspicion of burglary.
Police arrested a 49-year-old man accused of trying to break into a bank in North Seattle late Monday night.Seattle police were dispatched at 11:34 p.m. to an alarm blaring at the Bank of America branch on Fifth Ave NE and NE Northgate Way. A man was seen on surveillance video inside the building.When officers arrived, they saw the glass door had been smashed in and heard banging sounds from inside. They cordoned off the building and ordered the man to exit and come into police custody.
According to police, the man broke into the bank branch intending to steal from the ATM. During the burglary, the suspect damaged the front door, several computers and monitors, an interior door and the electrical system.
