Fort Myers Police arrested Benjamin Cummings, 34, for allegedly stealing a woman's bag that contained a one-month-old kitten. Detectives recovered the stolen items, including the kitten, from an abandoned vehicle.
) - Fort Myers Police said they arrested a man who allegedly stole a woman’s bag that contained a one-month old kitten.Police said it happened on Thursday, Jan 30 near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Palm Avenue when a woman reported a bag of her belongings was stolen.
Detectives responded to the last know location of the suspect and discovered the woman’s belongings inside an abandoned vehicle. Investigators said while they were investigating the stolen items, a kitten emerged from underneath the vehicle and approached officers. The victim confirmed the kitten was stolen during the robbery along with the other items detectives found, according to officials.
