Suffolk County police arrested Brandon Marquez for allegedly manufacturing undetectable ghost guns and possessing illegal weapons. A traffic stop led to the discovery of an illegal weapon and a large-capacity magazine on Marquez, prompting a search of his residence where authorities found an arsenal of assault rifles, ammunition, and a 3D printer.

Suffolk detectives say they seized an arsenal of assault rifles, ammunition, and a 3D printer from the Central Islip home of a man accused of manufacturing undetectable ghost guns . Brandon Marquez, 23, was pulled over Thursday evening around 10:20 p.m. on Brentwood Road for an expired registration. Officers discovered an illegal weapon and a large-capacity magazine on Marquez's person.

Following the traffic stop, detectives executed a search warrant at Marquez's Clift Street residence and uncovered a significant cache of firearms-related materials. Authorities say they found two assault rifles with magazines, a 3D printer with a computer, six ghost gun-type receivers, ammunition, and 3D printing material inside the house. Marquez is currently facing six counts of criminal manufacture of an undetectable firearm and several other weapons charges. 'The officers and detectives did an outstanding job with this arrest and investigation. These firearms could potentially end up in the wrong hands and kill people, so they absolutely saved people’s lives with this arrest,' said Det. Lt. Christopher D'Amico, with the Suffolk County Police Department
