ELYRIA, Ohio - The Elyria Police Department detectives made an arrest in connection to a swatting incident that occurred early Friday.Upon further investigation, it was determined false, also known as “swatting.
” The Elyria Police Department shared on social media that through the course of the investigation, detectives identified 33-year-old Jeremy Oster as a suspect.With assistance from the Lorain Police Department, officers located a vehicle associated with Oster.Elyria Police Detectives interviewed Oster at the scene and he admitted to making the swatting call in an effort to assist a friend.He was taken to the Lorain County Jail, where he is currently being held without bond pending his first court appearance.
