A 31-year-old man is arrested after two alleged attempted abductions of women in Mawson. Police say he is likely to face court tomorrow.
A 31-year-old man has been arrested following a search for a person police believe tried to abduct two Canberra women out exercising.
They said the woman had been out jogging about 3:10pm on the green belt adjacent to Athllon Drive when the man allegedly tried to grab her, pick her up and carry her away.After police issued an alert about the alleged incident, they said a second woman came forward with a similar story. Police say the woman claimed that after the man walked away, he then turned around and started to follow her.
