Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office deputies discovered an improvised explosive device while arresting a homeless Tacoma man Thursday night. Law enforcement was called to Mullenix Market following reports of a man acting erratically in the parking lot.
Deputies arrived at the 1900 block of SE Mullenix Road around 10:45 p.m. Thursday and found the 25-year-old man acting “strangely.”During the confrontation, deputies discovered a potential explosive device inside the suspect’s car. The Washington State Patrol bomb squad was called to safely contain and neutralize the device. After the vehicle was secured, deputies also found a small amount of methamphetamine.
