Police said that a man was found dead in the roadway near Euclid Street and Baker Avenue in Fullerton at around 9 p.m.
A man was arrested on suspicion of murder after allegedly killing another individual in Orange County and subsequently fleeing the scene, according to authorities.Officers in Fullerton were called to the intersection of S.
Euclid Street and W. Baker Avenue at 8:52 p.m. Sunday after receiving a 911 call reporting a stabbing, Fullerton Police Department officers told CBS LA. They also said that the caller told them the man was possibly run over by a car. Upon arrival, the victim, who hasn't yet been identified, was found lying in the road with multiple stab wounds. He was declared dead at the scene.The man is yet to be publicly identified.Aerial images from the scene showed a tarp covering the body. A large section of the street, outside of what looked to be a motel and a strip mall, was blocked by crime scene tape as investigators worked in the area.Fullerton PD alerted nearby law enforcement agencies of the situation and issued a suspect description in the immediate aftermath. At one point, the Buena Park Police Department responded to a hit-and-run crash within their jurisdiction. Upon arrival to the scene, officers detained the hit-and-run suspect and determined it was the same man suspected of the Fullerton stabbing.The suspect, later identified as 27-year-old Fullerton resident Francisco Soriano Jr., was arrested on suspicion of murder.No additional details were immediately made available.
