Adam Schadt, who pleaded guilty in the case and is now awaiting his sentence, admitted to threatening to shoot Evans and Bello, as well as Rochester Police Chief David Smith and Monroe County Sheriff Todd Baxter, according to court paperwork. "You have to take these things seriously," he said. "Unfortunately we’ve been seeing over the last couple of years a growing number of threats like this to law enforcement to public officials and public servants. It’s obviously unacceptable, and I’m glad in this case that there were consequences."
That same month, another man, Raymond Girard, was arrested for allegedly threatening to harm Bello and other county employees."Obviously, these are things that, unfortunately, I think keep people away from public service and running for office, and keep good people from doing this when they see things like this happen," Bello said.
