A man has been charged in connection with a fatal hit-and-run that killed a 17-year-old in southwest Houston.
Angel David Espinoza Martinez, 19, has been charged with failure to stop and render aid in connection with the death of Isandro de Leon, according to Harris County District Court records. Martinez’s bond was set at $75,000. Martinez is accused of driving a red Nissan into a power pole around 4:45 a.m. Sunday while heading south in the 8000 block of Gessner Road, according to the Houston Police Department.
de Leon was sitting in the passenger seat and Martinez allegedly fled the scene on foot after the crash, according to police.Investigators later found Martinez at a nearby hospital, where he was treated for injuries and arrested.
