Police have released dramatic footage of a marine rescue in Queensland, where a man was found clinging to the side of a sunken boat after it overturned off the coast of a small town.
Hervey Bay Water Police were called to Tin Can Bay, a small town near Gympie in the Wide Bay Burnett region, to reports a"small tender vessel" had become submerged in a river.

Police, with the help of an officer from Queensland Boating and Fisheries Patrol, can be seen in the video reaching for the man's hand and pulling him to safety on board the police boat.
