Malaysians can now renew their driving licence for a maximum of 10 years under a new initiative by the Transport Ministry. Those who want to renew their licence for up to 10 years would also enjoy a 10% discount on the fee. Read more at

Its minister Anthony Loke said those who want to renew their licence for up to 10 years would also enjoy a 10% discount on the fee.

“Those who want to renew must ensure that their licence has not expired for more than a year," he told a press conference here on Wednesday . This renewal period is only valid until Dec 31, and the driving test requirement will apply again from Jan 1 next year.“We decided to allow the renewal of expired licences given the fact that many Malaysians living abroad were unable to do so during Covid-19 with the movement control order.
