Pada aksi yang berlangsung di Kem Latihan Moqi, Speedy Tigers membuka jaringan menerusi pukulan sudut penalti Syed Syafiq Syed Cholan pada minit ke-12. Tersentak dengan dua gol terbabit, Ken Nagayoshi menyamakan kedudukan apabila menyempurnakan pukulan sudut penalti pada minit ke-24 dan 28 sebelum tamat separuh masa pertama.
Bagaimanapun, semangat juang yang tinggi dipamerkan oleh Speedy Tigers membuahkan hasil apabila Syed Syafiq, Syarman Mat Tee dan Muhammad Azrai Aizad Abu Kamal menjaringkan gol untuk meletakkan Malaysia di kedudukan 5-3.
