Malaysia merupakan sebuah negara berpengalaman dalam latihan dan pembangunan tenaga kerja dengan skor indeks sebanyak 0.70 pada tahun lepas.

Dapatan itu hasil kajian laporan Indeks Latihan Nasional 2022 yang dibangunkan Perbadanan Pembangunan Sumber Manusia dengan kerjasama badan perwakilan yang meliputi kerajaan, golongan akademik, organisasi penyelidikan dan pakar industri.

Bagaimanapun, katanya, terdapat banyak perkara yang boleh dilaksanakan dalam soal pembangunan latihan dan modal insan. “Seperti mana dalam Rancangan Malaysia Ke-12, kita juga mahu mencapai tahap 35 peratus tenaga mahir sebelum tahun 2030, jadi, untuk mencapai hasrat tersebut, kita harus mengadakan pelbagai latihan kemahiran.

Setakat ini, katanya, negara hanya mengenal pasti kekurangan dan keperluan latihan, tetapi tidak mengukur sama ada latihan itu sudah mencapai satu tahap atau sebaliknya.
