FORT WORTH, Texas - Dale Rankin of Atascosa County has been named the 2024 Outstanding County Extension Agent – Beef at the 2024 Cattle Raisers Convention. The Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association announced on Sunday that Dale Rankin of Atascosa County Texas A&M AgriLife has been deemed one of the most desiccated educators in cattle production.Stephen Diebel, the Second Vice President of the Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association, said that educators like Rankin are critical for helping land owners and advancing livestock production.
“The invaluable work of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension agents like Dale Rankin help advance the livestock community,” Diebel said. “Dale Rankin has shown tremendous commitment to educating landowners through programs and resources that not only better beef production locally but help cattle raisers improve economics within their operations.”
Rankin has 23 years of experience as a County Extention Agent, having helped improve agriculture significantly in Atascosa County.
