The body of a missing 3-year-old autistic boy was pulled from an Orlando resort's retention pond on Thursday after a massive search for the child.The Florida Department of Law Enforcement had issued a Missing Child Alert for Rakim Akbari, affectionately known as 'Tuda,' earlier that morning which prompted a community-wide effort to find the missing child.
Our detectives are still looking into how this tragedy occurred,' the Orange County Sheriff's Office said in a statement. 'We are grieving his loss, and our prayers are with his family.'Newsweek reached out to the Sheraton Vistana Resort however they have not responded.This marks the second case of a toddler with autism who has tragically drowned in Florida after wandering away from safety.
