train lines were cancelled for over an hour following a police incident at Jolimont train station.

Police and paramedics were called to the station at about 3.15pm on Friday after reports a person had been fatally hit by a train. As a result, the Hurstbridge and Mernda lines were cancelled, with buses replacing trains between Parliament and Clifton Hill.Jolimont station has now reopened and train services are beginning to resume, however not to full capacity.Credit:The delays have significantly impacted AFL fans who are flocking to the MCG for a preliminary final match between Collingwood and GWS.“We ask passengers to check station platform displays listen for announcements ...
