The AFL has announced its Grand Final parade will return to its traditional street route, but with a brand new itinerary and fan zone to bring fans closer to their favourite stars.
The parade moved to the Yarra River last year, with players ferried along in boats - but fans complained their footy heroes were too far away and that the event lacked atmosphere.

Picture: Supplied A brand new starting position at Melbourne Park Oval will kick off the parade, before it follows the banks of the river down to Birrarung Marr, over the walk bridge and into the MCG Yarra Park Precinct, finishing at the AFL’s free Footy Festival.At the centre of Melbourne Park Oval a unique cube screen and 360-degree stage will give spectators a clear view of the players from all angles.
