Police arrested a Brook Park man July 21 after he led them on a vehicle chase into Medina County.
BROOK PARK, Ohio – A Brook Park man, 35, was arrested at about 8:30 p.m. July 21 after he led police on a vehicle chase into Medina County.
The officers tried to detain the man, but he drove forward. His pickup truck hit the arm of the security gate. Then he sped away. A neighbor told police that the man still lived in the home, and that he had recently started inhaling “whippets,” compressed nitrous oxide in a can that produces an intense high.
Police ordered the man to turn off his engine and drop his vehicle keys on the ground outside his window. He switched off the engine but said he would not drop his keys.
