Lorraine Kelly was forced to issue an apology to Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner on Tuesday's instalment of her ITV chat show.
Lorraine Kelly swiftly offered her apologies to Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner on her ITV programme on Tuesday morning. The beloved Scottish host was evidently battling a raspy throat as she coughed intermittently during the interview. As they concluded their conversation, Lorraine expressed: 'Angela thank you so much, great to see you, have a lovely Christmas.
Lorraine added: 'This wee tiny person, all of a sudden you really worry about the future or you think about it more perhaps?' Rayner concurred, noting the distinct concern one feels for a grandchild compared to one's own children, sharing that while parents might dismiss a child's tumble with an 'Oh get up it's fine', the reaction is quite different when it involves a grandchild.
