Williams fell off a dock while attempting to get into a boat, according to Elmore County Sheriff Bill Franklin. The sheriff said Williams slipped and fell into the water while getting on the boat after learning the restaurant was closed for a private event. Williams, a former Auburn linebacker, was in his 24th year as the football team’s chaplain. He was also the Auburn campus director for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the State Director for Urban Ministries for FCA.
