LoneStar Fiberglass Pools is facing scrutiny from customers due to potential warranty delays after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The company may owe significant taxes, complicating its ability to fulfill warranty obligations.

LoneStar Fiberglass Pools, also known as LoneStar Fiberglass Components, is facing mounting questions from its customer base following its recent Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing. The company, which serves more than 600 customers, is now under scrutiny due to potential delays in honoring active warranties. Reports indicate that LoneStar may owe over $200,000 in taxes to Comal County, a debt that could complicate the company’s ability to address warranty claims until it is resolved.

However, Comal County officials told us they had no record of the alleged outstanding taxes. One former customer, who wished to remain anonymous, shared her concerns with us. “I feel very bad for people that are in the situation that they are, because, you know, you're already paying so much for this item, and now you're going to have to figure out on your own how to fix it. And pool maintenance is not cheap,” she said. The former customer also revealed that she had to pay an additional $70,000 out of pocket after her pool experienced multiple issues, including problems with its concrete and foundation. Despite repeated attempts to reach LoneStar Fiberglass Pools for comment on how it plans to handle warranty claims moving forward, the company has not responded as of publication
