Liverpool starting line-up predictions and team news for Sunday's Premier League clash at home to Brentford
Liverpool will look to return to winning ways on Sunday when they welcome Brentford to Anfield for their final Premier League clash before the international break.
The major decision at the back is what to do on the left. After Kostas Tsimikas was hooked after 45 minutes of that 3-2 defeat, will the Greek be retained or will Joe Gomez move back there after starting against Luton last week? I’m minded to give Tsimikas the nod once more, despite an unimpressive showing in France.
My team : Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Endo, Elliott, Szoboszlai; Salah, Nunez, Jota. After two disappointing performances and results against Luton Town and Toulouse, Liverpool have to bounce back and head into the November international break on a high against Brentford. And in attack, Darwin Nunez gets the nod down the middle in hope the agent of chaos can return to scoring form back at Anfield. Mohamed Salah starts on the right, while Luis Diaz, who hasn’t played at home since last month’s Merseyside derby, gets the warmest of receptions on the left following his father’s rescuing after being kidnapped earlier this week.
