Liverpool bought an entire new midfield as Jurgen Klopp aimed to rejuvenate an ageing engine room
An underwhelming 2022-23 campaign forced Jurgen Klopp to rip up his midfield and start again in the summer. The Saudi Pro League also emerged to poach Fabinho and Jordan Henderson , two players the German would have hoped to keep.
Liverpool have since enjoyed a solid start to the campaign to dispel the naysayers who suggested a transitional season would be on the cards. Beating Brentford will move Klopp’s side level with Manchester City ahead of their 4.30pm showdown against Chelsea.
