The 70-year-old comedian’s awkward interaction with Ripa and her husband, Mark Consuelos, went viral last week after he snapped at them over their compliment that he looked great at 70.

It’s like saying you’re smart for a stupid person,” he explained, earning laughs from the audience. “‘Oh, you seem smart, you seem smart,’ you see, no, I don’t look good.” When Consuelos, 55, reiterated that Mandel does “look good,” the “America’s Got Talent” judge diffused the tense moment by agreeing he’s “gorgeous.”Mandel told Ripa and Consuelos that their comment about how he looks for his age wasn’t a compliment.“It is a joke.
