Jane Fonda makes city council endorsements, severe weather possible and other Election Day updates.
As of 3 p.m., 33,870 Bexar County voters had voted on Saturday. Jacque Callanen, elections administrator at the Bexar County Elections Department, wrote that with a third of the day left to vote, the 251 election centers across the county will remain open until 7 p.m. and even later for locations with voters in line at that time.Jane Fonda, the Academy Award-winning actress and activist, endorsedmembers on Friday as they look to keep their seats for a second term.
Mario Bravo, of District 1, was absent from the endorsement after being a loud voice on the council for utility reform. Bravo faces six challengers in the first district., R-Royse City, was evicted from the House after the action was unanimously recommended by a panel. The panel found Slaton engaged in"inappropriate sexual conduct" with a 19-year-old legislative aide who previously worked in his office.
