Members of Columbus city council and Mayor Andrew Ginther are in council chambers on Monday morning announcing a plan to relieve medical debt for many Columbus
residents.The announcement is expected to detail a partnership between the city and central Ohio hospital systems meant to provide debt relief to hundreds of thousands of Columbus residents, a news release from the city said.
City Council President Shannon Hardin and President Pro Tem Rob Dorans is joined by Ginther and Jeff Klingler, president and CEO of Central Ohio Hospital Council. Council said it is partnering with OhioHealth, Mount Carmel Health System, Nationwide Children's Hospital, and the Wexner Medical Center in the effort to alleviate medical debt.Livestream will begin shortly
