Extra money to help during the colder months will be paid before the winter holidays
Pensioners are set to receive multiple winter payments worth up to £1,400 before Christmas. The payments, which are available to those aged 66 or over, will be made either automatically or following an application process, Birmingham Live reports.
If you do meet the criteria but don't automatically get the winter fuel payment, you can apply through the government's website. Automatic payments are usually made between November and December, with the latest being received by January 2024. This scheme is only open between November 1 and March 31 each year to cover the winter months and payments can be made more than once.
DWP £10 bonus People on pensions or low incomes get an extra cash boost from the DWP before Christmas. The payment is usually paid in the first full week of December.
