Here is a list of every DWP winter payment set to be made before Christmas
Several payments are available to those aged 66 or over to help with added costs of heating homes as winter draws near. Some will be paid automatically while others require people to apply, Birmingham Live reports.
If you do meet the criteria but do not receive the payment automatically, you can apply on the government's website. Automatic payments are usually made between November and December.Those who qualify for the Winter Fuel Payment are automatically eligible for the £300 pensioner cost of living payment. This extra boost to help with living costs will be paid this winter.
The Winter Fuel Allowance is an automatic, annual tax-free payment made automatically to eligible UK residents who are of a certain age to help with the cost of heating homes. It's worth £150 to £300. The second cost of living payment should be arriving in bank accounts over the coming weeks. The exact date hasn't yet been announced but eligible people will receive £300.
