Their assignment was to express in a meaningful way what they were thankful for in their lives, with the notion that their opinions could be printed. The submissions have been edited as any letter or essay would.I am very thankful for my Grandpa Lenny. We FaceTime almost every night.
My goal is to get into varsity and earn a varsity jacket. I am thankful for hockey because it is fun and not like any other sport.Many people often overlook what they really should be most thankful for: the rights that our predecessors fought so hard for. For a moment, let’s imagine that you have no rights, that you are stripped of your freedom.
I can gossip with her, and she always supplies good advice. I can admit things I don’t feel most teens think they could admit to their parents, and she trusts me, too. We always have fun. I appreciate the late night rides listening to music and getting fast food. I have a good relationship with my mom, and I’m really proud of that.I am thankful for America. I’m grateful for the people that are willing to help in America.
The human ability to create and evolve fascinates me, which is a little part of why I want to be an inventor. Our nature gives us the power to do whatever we want to do. We just have to try for it.Even though it’s a school class, and we have random arguments about the news every day, I have gotten really close to my journalism class, and they feel like family.
I’m also thankful for my dogs, my four-legged best friends. When I have a bad day, they will come to see if I am okay. They never judge me. They are always loving, ready to play and ready to give kisses.Football has taught me many new things here at George Dawson Middle School. I had never played tackle football before. Playing football has made me new friends and taught me about teamwork. If somebody isn’t working well or hard as a team, the whole team has to pay.
