After a stunning World Cup final, one reader hopes San Antonio goes for the goal with professional soccer.Re: “Martinez Fischer is poised to take on the GOP in new role,” Front Page, Dec. 19:

Soccer is San Antonio’s best sporting chance to have a world-level team and a natural choice for our demographic. The San Antonio paper should support that concept and cover the most prestigious event in sport. I have been an LGBTQ+ activist for more than 35 years, and drag queens hold a special place in my life.
