The majority of private schools are religious . This means the state is using tax money, calling it a voucher, and giving to a church. That violates the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which provides for separation of church and state.

We must not abandon public schools, which provide every child, rich or poor, with a foundation. If our schools are failing, it’s because they have been underfunded for decades.
