The 36-year-old former Bishop McDevitt star got some excellent news this week.
Harrisburg native and former Eagles running back LeSean McCoy is the team’s all-time leading rusher, totaling 6,792 yards in six years with Philadelphia. PennLive, 2011Earlier this week, FS1 announced that McCoy would join former NFL players Emmanuel Acho, James Jones and Chase Daniel on “The Facility,” which will be one of two shows filling the time slot formerly occupied by Skip Bayless’ “Undisputed” on the channel.
And then the Philadelphia Eagles announced that McCoy, who played six seasons for them and is the team’s all-time leading rusher, will be inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame on Nov. 3.“His elusiveness as a dual-threat back, coupled with his uncanny ability to make breathtaking plays, captivated everyone who had the privilege of watching him compete.
The 36-year-old was a standout at Bishop McDevitt before going on to star at Pitt. He was taken in the second round, 53rd-overall, of the 2009 draft by the Eagles and played for the team through 20014. He also had stints with the Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers before wrapping up his career in 2020.McCoy was a two-time Super Bowl champion, a two-time first-team All-Pro, a six-time Pro Bowl pick, and he was named to the NFL’s All-Decade team for the 2010s.
McCoy led the NFL in rushing touchdowns in 2011, and in rushing yards in 2013. He finished his career with 11,102 rushing yards and 73 touchdowns. He also caught 518 passes for 3,898 yards and 16 touchdowns.
