Now, Harrisburg parents are voicing their concerns, opinions, and offering advice on how the community and its children should move forward.
After two teens were shot and killed, some have tried to determine who is to blame. Are parents to blame? Are community leaders and officials to blame? Are police officers to blame? Toni Schafulcher, Harrisburg mom of seven, said it’s her job to parent the community kids, not just her own. “It is gonna take a village, and sometimes, if you have the permission, yeah It might be your business to talk to the neighbor’s children,” Rodriguez said.
