Les Wexner's legal team is attempting to block a subpoena in the ongoing Ohio State University sexual abuse lawsuit, arguing it's a publicity stunt aimed at questioning Wexner about Jeffrey Epstein. Survivors' attorneys say Wexner should have relevant knowledge due to his tenure on the Board of Trustees. Additionally, Columbus City Schools will remain closed Thursday due to a winter cold front and residents in Hilliard are experiencing issues with street snow removal.

Lawyers for Les Wexner are asking a federal judge to quash a subpoena in the ongoing litigation against Ohio State University by the survivors of sexual abuse byCalling the move a publicity stunt, Wexner's attorneys claim the subpoena has little to do with Strauss and more to do with asking questions about Jeffrey Epstein.

"Make no mistake; if a deposition were permitted, Plaintiffs’ questions would have little to do with Richard Strauss and far more to do with Jeffrey Epstein and a litany of unrelated matters," they wrote. They also argue that the subpoena is part of a pressure campaign against that university, citing the HBO documentary, Surviving Ohio State, alleged leaks to the media, and protests outside the OUS Board of Trustees meetings. Attorneys for the survivors say "It defies all logic and reason that Wexner would not have any knowledge about Strauss or his victims" since Wexner served on the Board of Trustees from 1988 through 1997, when Strauss was disciplined and his contract not renewed in 1996. Wexner said that nothing in the litigation so far shows he had any relevant knowledge for the lawsuit that isn't already included in the years-long case discovery."Not a single document, Fact Sheet, affidavit, pleading allegation, or fig leaf of cherry-picked testimony to show that Mr. Wexner has any relevant, discoverable knowledge. Yet they demand to take his deposition anyway."Hilliard residents 'getting stuck' after compacted snow left on streets As the "Big Dig of 2026" continues, many residential streets still need tending to, including at an apartment complex in Hilliard.COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus City Schools will remain closed Thursday as a persistent winter cold front continues to trigger calamity days across the distriAlex Pretti, the 37-year-old man who was shot and killed by a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agent on Saturday, suffered a broken rib during a previous enTwo teens are set to be sentenced after pleading guilty toinvoluntary manslaughter for rolling a log off a cliff at Hocking Hills which hit and killed Ross County photographerVictoria Schafer.
