Trey Anastasio of Phish has scheduled a solo acoustic show at Birmingham's Alabama Theatre in 2025. Here, he performs during a benefit for hurricane relief at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 24, 2024, in New York.Anastasio, a guitarist and singer, has announced 20 dates for “acoustic evening” shows, including a March 22 concert at thePre-sales start for the Birmingham date begin on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 10 a.m. CT, according to the Ticketmaster listing.
According to a publicist, the trek will be Anastasio’s “first extended solo acoustic tour” since 2019. On that tour, according to a, Anastasio played “intimate, stripped back versions of Phish cuts and got “even more personal by interacting with the crowd and sharing stories from his 36-year career.”
“As a solo artist, Anastasio has released over two dozen studio and live albums and has toured extensively with the Trey Anastasio Band, Classic TAB, and other iterations,” says a press release for his tour. “In 2020, Anastasio recorded and released the pandemic-era album ‘Lonely Trip,’ followed by his first album of solo acoustic material, ‘Mercy,’ in 2022.
