Margalit Injury Lawyers have filed a class action on behalf of more than 60 past AFL players against the league over its management of concussions. Ms Margalit said the class action was using a series of resources which could prove the AFL had been negligent in its duty of care for the players surrounding head knocks and concussion. Despite the AFL’s efforts Ms Margalit claimed the hardship fund and the support programs in place are not enough to support players who suffer with the long-term effects of concussion.
