Simon Weedall, 43, began talking to what he thought was a 12-year-old girl named Holly in October last year on social media sites Kik and WhatsApp.

Mr Smith said: "He has spent time in prison and knows there is to be a significant period of reflection. He has been engaging well in education and has completed a number of programmes not limited to first aid, mental health, health education and so on.
His Honour Judge Phillips KC jailed Weedall for two years and ten months and told the court he had pleaded guilty to attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity and attempting to communicate with a child at a plea, trial and preparation hearing.
