Carlton has updated his fans on his social media.
Former Leeds United midfielder and England international Carlton Palmer has been hospitalised after suffering a 'suspected heart attack'.
Fortunately, Palmer was able to tweet out to fans that he was ok, after his heart started 'playing up' during the Sheffield half marathon. He was able to finish the run but was then taken to hospital where he underwent tests. Then this afternoon, he thanked fans for their messages of support, saying: "Thank you so much for all the lovely messages I have being kept in hospital with a suspected small heart attack, they want to find out what has caused this problem so tests are ongoing. I will keep you updated. Gutted I was flying to Portugal at 4pm with @LucyPal16907599."
Gnonto was handed a start by Roberto Mancini after emerging from the bench in the 2-1 defeat to England in Naples. But he was withdrawn after just 22 minutes after rolling his ankle.
