Leeds forecast as temperature plummets this week
With a yellow weather warning for snow in place across much of the UK, it is no surprise that we are feeling the temperature drop. This week is certainly set to be a chilly one, despite Yorkshire narrowly avoiding the yellow warning.
Today, the yellow weather warning is in force for northern Scotland, Northern Ireland, Liverpool and parts of Wales. The warning remains in place for these areas tomorrow, with south west England also being included. By Wednesday, the warning has been removed for all areas except northern Scotland. But, despite being outside of the warning zone, the Met Office have still warned that Yorkshire could be at risk of some dangerous weather, with cold and ice forecast.
The weather experts have predicted that "very cold conditions" are expected to continue throughout this week in Yorkshire. And they have also warned that there is a risk of continued frosts and ice, so you may need to take it steady on the roads this week.
