Lauren Graham, Scott Patterson, and Sean Gunn return to Stars Hollow as Lorelai, Luke and Kirk in new ad to give fans a little 'Gilmore Girls'-themed gift just in time for the holidays.
If you're out on the road, feelin' lonely and so cold, all you need to do is watch this ad and they'll be there.) all appear together in a new ad for Walmart, one of 15 rolling out this holiday season featuring beloved characters from film and TV's past.
In the ad, Kirk dashes through the snow past the quaint Stars Hollow sign, with a troubadour strumming on a bench near the gazebo where we last saw Lorelai and Luke together. He brings a big blue package to Luke and they exchange monosyllabic greetings - "Luke." "Kirk."Graham then waltzes in, brimming with a particularly glittering dose of Lorelai's quirky confidence. "Coffee, coffee, coffee, please," she asks Luke, and he presents her instead with the package.
The real pièce de résistance is the inclusion of the iconic, instantly recognizable musical theme, which appears to use the same "la, la, las" that composer and musician Sam Phillips provided to both the original series andfans will be looking for - and will be pleased to find - are engagement rings on Lorelai and Luke's fingers.
Graham also shared that she was feeling particularly nostalgic due to the presence of her"TV daughter." But not Bledel, a daughter"from another universe."Patterson called Graham his "favorite scene partner of entire career," explaining, "I've never worked with anybody with a better skill set, more grit and just this incredible stamina among the other things that she brings with her humor and her kindness.
