Latheefa Koya has confirmed she has tendered her resignation as the chief commissioner for the MACC.
Latheefa stressed that the decision to step down, more than a year shy of the end of her two-year contract, was voluntary. “I submitted to Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin a letter conveying my intention to resign as chief commissioner of the MACC, subject to the approval of His Majesty the King.“My intention is to return to my practice as a human rights advocate,” she said in a statement.
